The level of service delivered by the entire Veterans United team far exceeded that of our previous lender, Bank of America, with whom we initially had a very poor experience. Kelly Stephens was patient over the phone and explained what needed to be done when I did not want to upload my docs online to the Veterans United Home Loan site. She then contacted the attorney's office to request a hard copy of the signed closing docs to be sent to me through the US postal service - that were not provided to me at the day of the May 11, 2020 closing (and really should have been - as was done through my experience with other house closings in the past over my 23-yr, 7 mo. military active and civilian career, I had signed 2 copies at same time - one for me and for the other copy to stay for file of seller personnel)….It was a horrible closing experience through a "pandemic" - that was used by the builder attorney office as an excuse not to have any others attend the closing but office admin. and me, so a thank you here to Kelly! A hard copy was finally received at my new address on June 10.....
At my closing with the title company, we discussed the misconception that VA home loans are unfavorable or "hard to work with". I had always thought that sellers prefer to go with traditional funding over VA, but with how seamless my buying process was, that just doesn't make sense to me. With nearly all of the document signing being done online the communication between all parties was exceptionally efficient and convenient. I really appreciate how everyone on my team at Veteran's United touched base with me along the way and made sure I was aware of what was needed from me, and when. I feel like we all completed our tasks quickly, which kept the process rolling steadily. It was a month from offer acceptance to closing - and never felt scary or overwhelming. This was actually my second time using Veteran's United, first being in 2011. I had a good experience both times but the ease of online document signing made this experience stand out and far exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Veteran's United!
